Delayed- Memoirs from the Airport

Many of us have been there, been stuck at an airport. Time may go faster when your travelling in twos or threes, But how do I deal with it when it's just me ? Please read with humorous lighthearted sarcasm, the following first world problem was written with almost no amount of sleep;  Making the best of it when waiting at an airport can be a challenge, hours need to role by, you're rolling your thumbs, spend time staring at things right in-front if you, after which looking at your phone hoping 50 minutes past by, only to realise its been 14 minutes. I've been here since 6:30 am, an hour before I needed to be, so that I could take the journey to a finish with my friend who I will now depart ways with. A last chat over a cup of coffee at Pauls here at Faro airport was all worth it, but now with a delay from a 10:15 departure turned to 12:00, turned to 12:50 I have a lot of thumb rolling to do. No working Wifi, a small airport under construction with a lot of spots lookin

Clearing to my writers block

A woman with some food in her mouth was feeding the pigeons in the park I just walked by, don’t know if she was eating ice- cream (based on the box) or the bird food she wad feeding the little feather friends. She looked happy, centered in where she was either way.  I have the day off, this Monday that most people are stuck at the office (yes, I know, Lucky me) and I decided to got to the Regents canal lock, one of those places in London that make me feel a bit closer to home.  Theres two guys fishing at the lock edge, what they catch from the water dont ask me, but it probably looks like it was born and bread in Camden. Tug boats that drive in throw in the ropes, and tie the boats to the poles, only to shortly continue their journey. Im in the middle of it all.  Just had a f lat white and the d anish here in the sun, a female body builder just got up from her sunbathing and an Asian man told a curious by passer that his bulldogs name is Godzilla (no joke) . A y oung man

A Humble Reboot

When you're lost, reboot, feel yourself in your shoes When you're drained, look within, and know that your strength can be regained When you're back up on your feet, travel to the sound of your beat When you reach a mountain top, look back with a smile on your journey And finally,  Thank yourself for being there when you start to feel blurry. When things feel too heavy never continue your life on replay, look forward, and there you have it, a brand new day Losing your head and direction can happen at anytime. But remember to reboot, and then... Watch magic come to life. This post is about being drained, to get back up and find your way, and remember to follow your own pace. It was inspired by someone who I could tell was feeling this way. If you want to read about finding your strength through travel, you can read Travelling Growth & A Backpackers memoar.
